Julia Bell is a writer who works across prose and poetic forms.
She has written three novels for young adults, and her essays and short fiction have been published in The Paris Review, The White Review, New Statesman, Prospect, and the TLS as well as broadcast on the BBC. Her non-fiction book and longform lyric essay Radical Attention was published by Peninsula Press in 2020 and has been translated into Spanish.
Her latest book is Hymnal (Parthian, 2023), and is a memoir-in-verse which was Welsh Books Council ‘Book of the Month’ April 2023.
