Andrew Harding discusses the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine

Andrew Harding’s highly acclaimed A Small, Stubborn Town: Life, Death & Defiance in Ukraine is published in paperback this week to mark two years since the full-scale Russian invasion.

In this powerful interview on the 22nd February episode of Katya Adler’s Global Podcast, Andrew talks (alongside fellow BBC journalist Olga Robinson) about what it has been like to cover the war in Ukraine since the beginning, and about his book, which shines light on the ordinary people caught up in the conflict.

A Small, Stubborn Town has also been turned into a radio play, which was aired for the first time on BBC Radio Four’s Drama on Four on 20th February.
