Publication Week News for THE FROZEN PEOPLE
The Frozen People, the first in a new series by Elly Griffiths featuring time-travelling detective Ali Dawson, was launched on 13 February with a party at Goldsboro Books in Cecil Court, London, kicking off a two-week tour around the UK.
The Frozen People, which is published by Quercus in the UK, will be published in North America by Pamela Dorman Books (Penguin US) on 8 July with a very different but equally great cover treatment.
Translation rights have been sold so far in Denmark, Finland, Germany and Sweden. In news just in from Denmark, where Gads Forlag also published this week, The Frozen People has gone straight into the Danish bestseller list at #1.
Elly Griffiths will be appearing soon at Norway’s crime festival in Oslo, and at theHorsens Crime Festival in Denmark.
Meanwhile, Two Brothers Pictures have acquired screen rights to the Frozen People series. “We are longstanding fans of Elly’s work,” say the team at Two Brothers, “and completely fell in love with the novel and its fresh take on the police procedural. We’re so excited to be working alongside Elly to bring Ali Dawson, her brilliant ensemble and the wonderful world of The Frozen People to the screen.”
